The Parityâ„¢ App

Track class bias in conversations

Using voice recognition, Parity™ monitors and evaluates the amount of time non-standard UK accents speak during meetings. The app then analyses the percentage of time taken up by different socio-economic backgrounds.
Attendees simply place their phone on the table and Parityâ„¢ will chart who is speaking and for how long. All E Corps share this data as part of the Effectiveness Assessment.
The app does not store any conversation once closed, so users can maintain their privacy.

Class ally in meetings

Parity™ uses AI voice recognition to monitor speech and credit the correct owner of an idea or suggestion if appropriated by another attendee. The app also credits an idea's owner if the suggestion is later praised, helping employees to gain confidence in their own abilities and encourage psychological safety.

Build confidence

Our research has found that those from working class backgrounds often experience a lack of confidence in speaking up and contributing, often feeling inferior due to owning very different cultural capital. Parity™ provides techniques to build confidence in  speaking in meetings.

Creating class 'deaf' interviews

Parityâ„¢ can be used for both remote and in-person interviews to alter the accent of both candidates and the interview panel.
Participants simply place their smartphones on the table and insert headphones. The app changes all accents to a non-standard UK dialect, leaving all participants on a level playing field.
